Patty and Dan McCarthy
Reddeman Farms
555 South Dancer Road
Chelsea, MI
(734)-475-3020
Along with Joe Lambrix, Patty and Dan McCarthy are also part of the golf sponsorship group.  Patty and Dan have taken it upon themselves to fully fund a scholarship for one or more needy Redeemer students during the past three (3) years.  Without their help there would be students who would probably not get a chance to attend Holy Redeemer (and join Cross Country!).

If you're looking to play one of the finest golf courses in the state, Joe, Dan and Patty would be very happy to accomodate you at their golf course.

Greg Everall
Another kindhearted and generous contributor to our program is Greg Everall.  Greg is a serious runner who has gone above and beyond to better the community.  Actively involved in the local running scene, Greg just served out his second term as President of the Island Road Runners running club in Grosse Ile, and is an organizer for the Downriver Runners.  He is also the race organizer for some of the area's better races, including the Grosse Ile Memorial Day Run, Riverview Winterfest 4 Miler and the Allen Park 5 Mile Run. Every year Greg competes in the Detroit Free Press International Marathon, while at the same time raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society.  For his MS fundraising efforts, Greg is awarded a $500 gift certificate, which he has donated to the Holy Redeemer cross country program for a number of years.

Joe Lambrix
Acknowledging our supporters would be incomplete without mentioning the Godfather of our program:  Joe Lambrix.  For the past several years Joe has been the principal organizer of a golf outing designed to financially support the program.  Joe's efforts annually cover our entire budget, and without his help the Redeemer cross-country program would have folded several years ago.  Remember, Redeemer is a school without great financial resources and sports programs need to fund themselves wherever possible!

Downriver Runners
Downriver Runners Website

The Downriver Runners is another group that has adopted our program.  This club meets every Wednesday at 6:30PM behind the Allen Park Theater and is active in a number of local running causes and races.

Knights of Equity
Knights of Equity Website

The Knights of Equity is one of America's oldest Irish-Catholic organizations.  The Knights were first organized to protect Irish immigrants from the bigotry, prejudice and violence that was directed toward these new arrivals to the shores of America.  The Knights of Equity have been long-time supporters of the Holy Redeemer school system due to Redeemer's 19th century role of educating and supporting the children of these newly arrived Irish immigrants.

The Michigan Running Foundation is a non profit organization (501c3-2702) that host several road races a year. Proceeds from the races are used to award scholarships to area high school runners and to support youth running in Michigan. The scholarships are awarded to students with financial need who have had good success in High School and have been recommended by their coach. The foundation tries to give students (that normally would not have the opportunity) a chance to go on to college.

Total Runner
Total Runner Website

Total Runner has two store locations:  one in Southgate, MI and the other in Southfield, MI.  Owner Dave Howell annually donates to the program.  His donations include several pairs of used shoes that his customers turn in when they buy new shoes.  Dave has also provided financial support to keep our van running and for other program needs.  If you ever need running shoes, apparel or assistance, please stop by and see Dave--a man with a golden heart!

General Information Generous donations help ease the crunch, but without a fundraising programs to depend on, the cross-country program might not exist!

There is a maximum of 32 teams and divisions for all levels (including mixed co-ed teams). If you like to golf, come on out--we desperately need your support!

The golf outing exists due to the incredible generosity of Joe Lambrix and the Reddeman Farms Golf Club. With substantial assistance from Patty McCarthy, Dan McCarthy and Greg Everall, we are able to raise an average of $3,000 a year (excluding the extra money that Joe, Patty, Dan and Greg raise for the general Redeemer scholarship fund).

These outstanding people (whom I might add are not even Redeemer grads!) took to heart our financial peril several years ago and have been helping us to make a difference ever since!

NOTE: This outing is separate from the High School Golf Outing in June which supports the entire school. Call the Alumni Development office at (313)-841-4515 for more information.
